This year, our annual Rā Aukaha took place at Te Nohoaka o Tukiauau (Sinclair Wetlands). The purpose of the Rā Aukaha is to start forming tuakana/teina relationships within the group. This is the first major event we have for the year. The day started with a hīkoi up to Te Whakaraupuka, Te Pā o Tukiauau. After this, the rangatahi got involved in activities such as Kī-o-Rahi, Mau Rākau and canoeing.

Overall the Rā Aukaha effectively serves its purpose and provides ample opportunities for rangatahi to make connections and work effectively as a team in order to meet a common goal.
